Industrial applications and safety of engineered nanomaterials in the polymer composite industry: Outcomes from the FP7 project

ABSTRACT

The FP7 NanoSafePACK project (www.nanosafepack.eu) has the main aim to develop a best practices guide to allow the safe handling and use of nanomaterials in packaging industries, considering integrated strategies to control the exposure to nanoparticles in industrial settings, and provide the SMEs with scientific data to minimize and control the nanoparticles release and migration from the polymer nanocomposites placed on the market.

This project is close to its end (November 2014) and in this workshop most of the final outcomes will be disseminated to the audience, comprising a first draft of the Best Practices Guide.
